About the Team

Our club, Polythlon University Triathlon Team, and our greatest runners : Sashegyi Gepardok Team include more than 200 people altogether. At the beginning there was only 20 people. The club was established in 1987 by Mózes Székely and some of his friends.

It is important for us to help anybody in reaching their chosen goals, with great pleasure. We give the knowledge, the great mind, great facilities and guarantee good humour for sure. We are trying to show you how to eat healthier, how to start in sports (after lots of years out of sport or with weight issues), we are also here if you wish to try yourself in a halfmarathon/marathon, half distance triathlon or the Ironman races. Because long ago we were all starters as well, and we want to share the knowledge we have gained with you.

The early morning swimming trainings are always easier with friends. Long – sometimes 4-6 hours - cyclings aren’t so long when we’re together . You need to know, day after day, we struggle just like you. Our life is not easier – although it may seem so – we have our devils as well; but our team makes all these things easier. We organize movie nights, teach each other how to do ski running, do X-mas and carnival parties, and along the way friendships are made. It is amazing to wear a team’s red top in a race, for 16 of us to go and eat at night at a table for 9 people, to spend a weekend away together and to help each other in a race.
